New live music venue opening in downtown Orlando Feb. 6: Judson's Live is opening soon in downtown Orlando on Tuesday, Feb. 6. The music venue will host artists for 150 guests for 50-minute music experience. The venue will have fresh food and drinks available for sale during shows. Judson’s Live is located at 445 S Magnolia Ave. (yourcommunitypaper.com)
Pre-game for The Big Game with brunch at Four Flamingos in Orlando: Four Flamingos: A Richard Blais Florida Kitchen is offering a Super Brunch with Blais experience on Sunday, Feb. 11. Brunch will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and include tons of food options as well an option for bottomless bloody marys. Reservations are available online. Universal Orlando has revealed food and drink options for this year's Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval, which begins Saturday, Feb. 3. Food options at booths featuring different countries will include a Sweet & Savory Gouda & Onion Waffle, Shrimp Moqueca, Pão de Queijo, Colombian Burger, Beignets, King Cake Mini, Crawfish Étouffée, Shrimp Gumbo and more. Drink options include a Category 5 Punch, Espresso Martini, Chicory Coffee, Buko Juice, San Miguel, Piña Colada, Sangria and more. (clickorlando.com)
Kissimmee leaders approve land change for developments despite residents concerns: Officials have approved an annexation and zoning changes to land on Simpson Road to allow for new developments with residential units and commercial space. 177 acres will be preserved as a conservation area. Residents are concerned about the impact clearing the area for development will have on the area. (aroundosceola.com)
Two-story sports bar now open in Orlando’s Caribe Royale resort: A new two-story sports venue has opened called Stadium Cub in Orlando’s Caribe Royale resort at 8101 World Center Dr. Visitors can enjoy virtual golf courses, quarterback and slapshot challenges, as well as plenty of sports games on TVs in the 9,000 sq. foot space. The menu was created by chefs Janine Booth and Jeff McInnis. The bar is open late on most nights until 2 a.m. (orlandoweekly.com)
