MCO planning automated parking system to help travelers navigate congestion: Orlando International Airport (MCO) is working on an automated parking system to help bring improvements for busy travelers. Officials hope to have parking data posted to the MCO app and website as well as over roadway signs and have allocated $9.6 million to the effort. Reservations can also be made ahead of time by travelers to ensure a parking spot. Congestion has been an issue for the airport over the last few years. (clickorlando.com)
City of Orlando hosting Parramore bus tour during Black History Month: City of Orlando’s Downtown Development Board is hosting a bus tour of Parramore for Black History Month on Thursday, Feb. 8 at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Parramore is Orlando's oldest and largest African-American neighborhood. The tour will be led by District 5 City Commissioner Regina Hill. Those interested in attending must RSVP online first due to limited space. (bungalower.com)
TikTok user goes viral after using unused ticket from 1970s to get into Walt Disney World: A TikTok user recently went viral with 8.6 million views after using a ticket that was 46 years old to get into Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Orlando. The ticket was only $8 at the time of purchase in the 1970s and the fan was still able to get into the theme park. An average ticket today ranges from $109 to $164 at the theme park. (wesh.com)
Jeremiah’s Italian Ice opening in Lake Eola: Jeremiah’s Italian Ice is opening a new location near Lake Eola in downtown Orlando this year at 431 E. Central Blvd. The new location is one of many planned by the dessert chain. The space was previously The Pop Parlour. No opening date is available at this time. (wftv.com)
UCF Football releases 2024 season schedule: UCF Football has released their schedule for the 2024 football season. UCF will host New Hampshire on Thursday, Aug. 29, to kickoff the season. Times and channels will be announced at a future date. Running back RJ Harvey and wide receiver Kobe Hudson will be back this season as notable returns. (fox35orlando.com)
